Thomas Tableware

Thomas, part of the Rosenthal Group was established by Philip Rosenthal in Bavaria, producing porcelain to the current tastes of central Europe. It wasn't until the 1950's that Thomas took a radical departure from the existing product offering. With the rise in interest in modern, stylish forms for the home, a bold decision was made by the family to take Thomas in this new trajectory.

Thomas, building on its reputation for high quality finely made porcelain, soon established a new customer for its contemporary forms being the company of choice for distinguished home and restauraters alike. Medaillon, first launched in 1962 has been in continuous production for fifty years and remains as fresh and exciting as the day it was launched. This has been followed by the great classic shapes, Trend and Loft.
